ZiKZ 566A is a truck in SnowRunner introduced in the Renew & Rebuild DLC.
A medium-duty vehicle that first saw the light of day in the late 50s. By modern standards, it is quite powerful, but not the most reliable and voracious truck, however, the presence of overall wheels allows it to feel good under various road conditions. Equipped with a special fire tank.
Unlocking[]
ZiKZ 566A is found on the Burned Forest map in Ontario on the course of Help the Villagers 3 task. The mission is available after completing Exploring the Burned-out Infrastructure contract and unlocking the Burned Forest, player has to deliver the 566A to the Village Warehouse. ZiKZ 566A is granted to the player as a part of the reward and player is able to purchase more of this vehicle in the truck store afterwards.
Description[]
The 566A is primarily based off the MAZ-502, a post war light duty military truck produced for the Soviet military. The 566A sports a few design changes from its real world counterpart. The fenders curves extend into the hood of the vehicle and appear to be slightly smaller as well. The windshield of the 566A is slightly shorter as well and lack a dividing piece that separates each section. The cab and side windows of the 566A appear to be shorter as well giving the cab a sleeker appearance. The headlights on the 566A are also larger and mounted on the fenders.
The 566A is a lighter duty truck that can perform scouting roles, recovery, or cargo hauling. Like the Ford F 750 or Step 33-64 "Crocodile" it bridges the gap between scouts and off-road trucks. Its more than capable of tackling mud and snow without issue thanks to its unique tires which provide excellent traction in dirt and acceptable traction in mud. Unlike most other vehicles the 566A can equip its largest tires on stock suspension providing it with excellent stability, This is further enhanced due to its relatively wide wheel base and low center of gravity. Its always on transfer case lets it rip through mud in high gear though it will lose momentum due to its differential lock being switchable. This does result in the 566A becoming dependent on its low gear in order to utilize its differential lock for deep mud. which can result in excessive fuel consumption. The 566A shares its engine selection with other light duty Russian vehicles such as the ZiKZ 5368 and TUZ 16 "Actaeon" but it also has access to an exclusive IMZ-6 370 engine that rivals powerhouse engines like the KZGT's.
The 566A has a below average fuel tank size for its class at only 150L. Fuel economy is above average for its class due to the vehicles lighter mass but the engines fuel consumption can be greedy with the higher output engines installed. However the vehicle can be equipped with a roof rack providing 120L of fuel greatly extending its operating range.
The 566A shares its add ons with other light duty Russian trucks having access to a maintenance body, fuel tanker, low saddle, small sideboard bed, and a loading crane.

- Its tires lose to mudtires in deep mud
- Has no collisions on axles
- 43" Mudtires smaller than 47" Mudtires on TUZ 16 "Actaeon" and TUZ 108 "Warthog"
- Has no side winch points
- Stucks in the mud when automatical differential lock is turned on, unlike TUZ 16 "Actaeon" and Step 33-64 "Crocodile"
- Stucks in the mud when low rear with AWD and Differential lock
