The ZiKZ 5368 is a truck in SnowRunner.
The ZiKZ 5368 is a medium-sized truck made in the 60's and renowned for its impressive resilience. Due to its small frame and outdated engine, it's not the most powerful truck on the road. Considering it was originally designed primarily for highway use and thus lacks a full-wheel drive, its light weight, decent fuel efficiency and available off-road tires make it one of the most rough terrain-capable highway trucks around.
Unlocking[]
The ZiKZ is available at the start of the game. It can only be purchased in Euroasia regions for 31,800 currency.
Overview[]
The ZiKZ 5368 is one of the few 4x4 full size trucks available in SnowRunner. Despite its old age its more than capable of tackling a variety of roles.
The 5368 can best be described as a hybrid of a highway truck and off-road truck. It excels on paved roads, even beating the top speed of highway trucks like the International Transtar and Ford CLT9000. It possesses AWD and can have a differential lock making it decent off-road but it is one of the smallest trucks in its class and can often struggle in deep mud and water. Due to the vehicles short wheel base and stiff suspension it frequently bounces in rough terrain causing stability issues. With a trailer this is not a major issue as the trailer itself will keep the truck upright but if other frame add ons are used this can worsen its stability.
The short wheelbase does provide superb handling in tight areas making it well suited for narrow trails and hard to reach areas. The 5368 also has good ground clearance on stock suspension which helps with stability though some players may find raised suspension more appealing to further improve its performance off-road.
The 5368 is unique due to the fact that it has access to both the full size frame add-ons and the compact add-ons used on the TUZ 108 "Warthog" and TUZ 16 "Actaeon". This gives the 5368 a great deal of flexibility with the jobs it can perform. Players may find the compact add-ons more appealing due to the fact they allow the truck to make use of its pintle hook hitch which is normally blocked due to a massive overhang on the full size add ons. Its overall selection is generous but fairly basic having access to a full size log carrier, compact crane, 1 and 2 slot sideboard beds, compact and full size fuel tanker, water tanker, van body, flatbed, and a metal detector among others. It can use the mini crane with a low saddle but strangely the metal detector blocks the low saddle from being equipped at the same time.
The 5368 has above average fuel economy due its light weight making it good for long distance hauls despite its small fuel tank.
Pros[]
- High top speed.
- Can perform hauling in mud or on paved roads with good performance in either.
- Comes stock with AWD.
- Light weight gives it very good fuel economy and long range despite a small tank.
- Cheap to buy, being comparatively priced to highway trucks but much more capable and upgradable.
- Now has 47" AMHS I/TMHS I tires which make it extremely capable in harsh terrain.
- Now available with a short bed with crane, trailer attachment possible.
Cons[]
- Struggles in mud compared to other trucks.
- Heavy cargo pushes it to its limits and it tends to suffer due to its weight.
- It can easily be tipped, especially with the raised suspension upgrade equipped.
- Can not have a bed and a trailer attachment at the same time.
Upgrade locations[]
- Engageable differential lock - Drowned Lands Taymyr, west of the factory in the bog.
- Raised suspension - Quarry Taymyr, north of the southern gateway that leads to Zimnegorsk, in the backyard of the small shack.
Besides that, the truck supports upgrades which available at other trucks:
- Offroad gearbox - Drummond Island Michigan, situated west of the watchtower that unlocks gateway to the Island Lake.
- Highrange gearbox - Mountain River Alaska, situated at the river near the pipeline.
- IMZ-6 210 engine - Quarry Taymyr, located in the swamp east of the trailer store

- Fine-tune gearbox - Black Badger Lake Wisconsin, situated in the forest east of the log station.
Design[]
The ZiKZ 5368 is primarily based on a MAZ-500 series truck, sepcifically as a 505/9 variant due to its use of All wheel drive. The vehicles overall design remains remarkably similar with the only notable difference being the headlights. They are positioned much closer to the corners of the front end while the turn signals are repositioned above the headlights instead of below. The ZiKZ logo is positioned in a similar spot to the MAZ logo on the 500s but is instead located just below the front windshield instead of in the center of the cab. The front bumper of the truck resembles a bumper used on lighter duty MAZ 500s with virtually no differences,
Trivia[]
- Its license plate reads "ЛИС" which means "fox" in russian.
- The real MAZ-500 lacks AWD, while the later 505 and 509 variants only feature all-wheel drive. Switchable setup is likely a fictional compromise between the two models, similarly to Chevrolet CK1500.
- At some point early in development the ZiKZ 5368 was likely intended to be a Highway truck. Its description repeatedly makes such claims, and mentions its lack of "full wheel drive" (despite it having Engageable AWD by default).
