Yukon

Yukon, Canada is a region in SnowRunner, made available on November 16th 2020 as part of the Explore & Expand DLC. The region contains two interconnected maps: Flooded Foothills and Big Salmon Peak.

Resources

A new game mechanic introduced with this region are limited cargo units that scavenged from building sites dotted around the map, each containing two cargo units. Most other locations now also have limited resources for some cargo types.

The locations that do provide unlimited resources are:

Crafting

Another new game mechanic is cargo crafting. To know how to craft, it is recommended to complete the contract Cargo Crafting and read the description of it carefully.

• Caterpillar TH357 - on Flooded Foothills, found in the south east corner of the map, as a reward for completing the mission Manual Unloading Practice
• Chevrolet Kodiak C70 - on Flooded Foothills, found on the southern island, as a reward for completing the Lost en Route mission.
• Caterpillar 770G - on Flooded Foothills, found near the garage, as a reward for completing the Dump Truck for Dump Truck task.
• Caterpillar TH357 - on Big Salmon Peak, found just north of the garage, for free, near the Cabin Construction Site

Trivia

• Yukon introduces a character of Carter, who provides the Strange Signal task, he is a recurring character in both Wisconsin and Maine and provides tasks - Strangest Things, Classified, Invasion! - and the contest - Mysterious Monoliths - respectively. In the Maine's mission description, he even ponders whether had he met the player before.
  • The character itself is likely a reference to Chris Carter, the creator of the X-Files television series, the Classified task of Wisconsin is even named as the Y-Files in the game files.
