The Western Star 47X NF 1430 is a licensed truck in SnowRunner included in the Western Star Wolf Pack DLC.
Description[]
The NF 1430 is a 10x6 heavy semi-truck. Of the three Wolf Pack heavies, it is probably the most versatile, being able to mount the greatest variety of frame add-ons. It is the only truck to date to feature double lift axles. When activated, the lift axles significantly increase the ride height of the truck and improve overall weight distribution to some degree. The lift axles, being non-powered, increase rolling resistance when lowered, but also significantly improve braking distance thanks to being equipped with brakes.
The 1430 does not feature a differential lock.
Season 8 update[]
With the Season 8 update, the Western Star 47X NF 1430 got the engageable AWD. Besides, it can now install the LC 3.8 Loading Crane.
Season 13 update[]
With the Season 13 update, the Western Star 47X NF 1430 can now install the LP-4 Log-loader crane with a Short Logging frame.
Pros[]
- Fairly versatile - compatible with a wide variety of add-ons.
- Can equip the Si-8V/2850T, a very powerful engine. This, combined with its weight, give the 1430 great hauling capacity.
- When driven properly, uses fairly little fuel compared to similar trucks.
- Lift axles allow for on-the-fly adjustment of ride height and weight distribution.
- The only truck in the Wolf Pack that can be equipped with OHD tires that can make up for its lack of diff lock.
- Supports LP-4 Log-loader crane + short logging frame addon.
- Supports LP-4 Log-loader crane + long log carrier combo.
- Supports LC 3.8 Loading Crane + Flatbed/Sideboard + Trailer combo.
- Supports Saddle High/Low + LC 3.8 Loading Crane + Semi-Trailer combo.
Cons[]
- Versatility somewhat hampered by inability to mount a cargo loading crane.
- Lack of AWD and differential lock significantly limit offroad capabilities. Very weak in mud, regardless of tire choice.
- Dead axles retain highway tires regardless of upgrades, meaning they do not significantly contribute to traction in most cases, and can increase resistance when lowered.
- 2 Dead Axles make it an 10x4 without AWD.
- No raisable or active suspension options.
