The Western Star 47X NF 1424 is a licensed truck in SnowRunner included in the Western Star Wolf Pack DLC.
Description[]
The NF 1424 is a 6x4 heavy semi-truck. Despite its classification in the heavy role, the 1424 does not possess many features common to heavy trucks; rather, it behaves more like a highway vehicle.
Somewhat unusually for a truck of its type, the 1424 can be equipped a supply rack on its roof; granting it a reserve of repair supplies, fuel, and spare wheels.
Season 8 update[]
With the Season 8 update, the Western Star 47X NF 1424 got the engageable AWD. Besides, it can now install the Maintenance Frame Addon.
Season 13 update[]
With the Season 13 update, the Western Star 47X NF 1424 now can install the LC 3.8 Loading Crane and Small Flatbed (1 slot capacity). The truck can install this small flatbed with the LC 3.8 Loading Crane.
Pros[]
- Between the tank and the roof rack, can carry 410 L of fuel. This, combined with above-average fuel economy give the 1424 potentially impressive range.
- Strongest available engine is quite powerful, lending decent hauling abilities on compatible terrain.
- A relatively short truck, the 1424 is capable of negotiating tight turns well.
Cons[]
- Lack of AWD makes the 1424 weak off-road, even with appropriate tires equipped. Additionally, with no mud tires available, it is basically useless in anything but the shallowest mud, until the season 8 got launched it got AWD afterwards.
- Somewhat limited add-on selection relegates the 1424 to hauling tasks and minor support missons only thus it cannot have trailer attached when with bed+crane.
- Relatively low weight can hamper the 1424 when winching stuck objects and, in some cases, cause it to struggle up hills when heavily loaded.
