Mountain River is a map in the Alaska region of SnowRunner.
It is the second map, after North Port, when following the contracts. Mountain River is one of the smaller maps in the game. As the name suggests, the main feature on the map is a mountainous river traversing it in a deep valley that gradually becomes shallower. The river is very shallow but the steep icy banks prevent crossing it in some places.
Most locations in Mountain River are accessible by paved, although icy, roads. Use of chained tires or slow driving is therefore recommended. The map also features some steep gradients, which may be difficult to climb with vehicles lacking chained tires.
The map does not have a garage, however the garage in North Port can be reached quickly over paved roads. A service hub and fuel station are available.
