The KOLOB 74941 is an 8x8 tractor unit in SnowRunner.

With over 10 meters of Russian steel on 8 wheels, the Kolob 74941 is a hulking, mud-eating monster.

Description

The KOLOB 74941 is based off the MZKT 741350, a Belarusian heavy transport vehicle designed for use in the middle east. The 74941 is almost identical to its real world counterpart with very few changes overall. The most prominent change is the grill design which is a bit larger overall with sharper edges near the corners. The headlights are larger in both size and numbers while the turn signal design remains unchanged. The windshield design on the 74941 features a 3 piece design with curves near the sides as opposed to the 741350's flat 2 piece design. The windows on the sides also feature a slight redesign with the passenger and driver side window being larger in size while the rear passenger windows have a flat square like design.

The KOLOB is a slow lumbering titan of a vehicle that is nearly unstoppable. While slow it possesses enormous torque output allowing it to haul heavy loads in extremely harsh environments. Its massive tires allow it to tear through mud and snow. Although it possesses AWD and a differential lock, it rarely will need them due to its massive torque output and giant tires. Furthermore it has a generous amount of ground clearance enhancing its off-road capabilities. The 74941 along with its brother truck the KOLOB 74760 is able to be equipped with active suspension in phase 2. It can also be equipped with a new gearbox that grants the truck a boost in acceleration and top speed at the cost of losing 2 of its low gears and its high gear entirely.

The 74941 is extremely limited in its add-ons, only being able to equip a high saddle allowing it to only haul super heavy cargo or a heavy low boy trailer.

The 74941 has an average fuel tank size for its class at 340L. It possesses relatively good fuel economy for its size but when AWD is engaged its fuel consumption greatly increases. If you not have the advanced special gearbox this gearbox gives higher fuel consumption in average but consume same amount of fuel with AWD on or OFF. So when you have the advanced special gearbox, keep AWD on. This makes it a good choice for hauling heavy cargo where deep mud may be occasionally found but caution should be taken to limit its time with AWD engaged to keep fuel consumption to a minimum.

Explore & Expand

With Explore & Expand expansion installed, KOLOB 74941 got its active suspension and the multipurpose gearbox, which is also available for KOLOB 74760, heavy Tatra trucks and by default installed on Mack Defense M917. The multipurpose gearbox is located north of the "Sunk Giant" task in Big Salmon Peak, and active suspension is located in the Flooded Foothills, directly south of the concrete plant.

• Long length can make some roads or turns difficult to navigate, especially with a trailer.
• The only addon available is the high saddle, making it only able to tow heavy trailers.

Trivia

• Though its description states the 74941 is Russian, its real life inspiration is actually Belarusian.
• The 74941 is one of only 4 vehicles to feature independent suspension on all of its axles. It shares this trait with its brother truck the KOLOB 74760, the DAN 96320 and the TUZ 420 "Tatarin".
• The 74941s description in game description is a reference to its real world inspiration being primarily utilized in the United Arab Emirates for heavy hauling.
