The GMC Brigadier 8000 is a licensed truck in SnowRunner included in the GMC Brigadier DLC.
A tried-and-true veteran of logistics. Despite its age, this model is well-known as a reliable and powerful vehicle capable of most conventional cargo-related tasks. Its roaring beast of an engine and a versatile frame capable of accepting most frame add-on options are the Brigadier's calling cards.
Unlocking[]
After installing the GMC Brigadier DLC, the GMC Brigadier 8000 becomes immediately available for 107200 currency. Unless playing on Hard Mode or with specific New Game+ rules, a copy of it will also be found in the storage.
Description[]
The GMC 8000 is classified as a heavy duty truck and is gameplay wise similar to the White Western Star 4964, the International Fleetstar F2070A or fully upgraded GMC MH9500. The truck features some unique upgrades that makes it stand out from the other heavy duty class trucks like a unique tuned custom suspension that gives it massive ground clearance. Together with it's 46' offroad tires, it makes this truck very capable in mud. In addition, the Brigadier can still tow trailers when equipped with the small loading crane and a bed.
The truck has a exclusive engine that gives the truck an impressive power to weight ratio of S+ which makes it suitable for almost all roles. The truck also has an above average fuel capacity for it's class that makes long distance hauls very easy without needing to stop for fuel. However with the upgraded engines the consumption greatly increases to C+ when fully upgraded so you should plan your route carefully when using the top engine.
Another drawback that results from the increased engine power is wheelspin. Especially in mud the Brigadier has massive amounts of wheelspin which require low gear to avoid them. This issue becomes especially noticeable when it doesn't have carry a load, as is also the case with the Freightliner 114SD. The last problem of the Brigadier is it's tendency to lift the front off the ground when pulling a semi trailer while going up a hill. That means that the front wheels are in the air without providing any traction and also no steering. Therefore the Brigadier is best to use with body add-ons rather than pulling semi trailers. It can still do it, but there are better options.
Lastly this truck is also somewhat unstable on uneven ground especially when loaded or with tall add-ons like the van body.
Nevertheless the GMC 8000 Brigadier is a tough work horse suitable for most roles you throw at it.
