Foreigner is a task added in Phase 1 in the DLC map Lake Kovd.
Description[]
"There is this foreign tourist. He really wants to see some live history. Ended up almost going under the ice. Will you help me pull him out? I will make it worth your time."
Objectives[]
- Deliver the Ford F750 to the north camp.
Walkthrough[]
The main objective of this task is extremely simple and only requires the player to tow the target vehicle to the objective zone. However the main difficulty of this task is in the maps difficult terrain the target vehicles poor power and lack of off-road upgrades.
The F750 is located just east of the Imandra gateway in a frozen swamp. It is in running condition and has fuel in its tanks meaning it can start and drive. But due to its low power and poor ground clearance it requires a powerful truck to pull it to its destination. Care should be taken when first approaching the F750 as the ice that surrounds it is very weak and can easily trap a truck and doom it to the same fate. The easiest route to take to the north camp is the northern road that leads directly to the camp. Crossing the cliff can be tricky so patience is required to carefully cross it. After crossing the cliff the remainder of the route is fairly simple with very few major hazards in the way.
Once the F750 has been delivered into the objective zone it is added to the players fleet along with a sizeable amount of experience and money.
Tips[]
- A Truck with large fuel tanks and fuel storage is recommended to avoid fuel shortages and to keep the F750 fueled so it can assist by pushing its own weight.
- Winching the front of the F750 is recommended as this will allow it to drive forward and greatly assist the player in reaching the destination.
- The F750 does not have to be in pristine condition to complete the task so available repair points should be used on the players vehicle before being used on the F750.
