The Caterpillar TH357 is a licensed telehandler in SnowRunner introduced in the Explore & Expand DLC.

A more niche kind of construction vehicle, the TH357 is an all-around telehandler designed for precise movement of heavy equipment and cargo in conditions that make more conventional cranes ineffective or outright unusable. Featuring a high performance telescopic boom with multiple fork attachment options, a powerful custom engine and four-wheel steering, this telehandler is an agile tool for the right job.

Description[]

The TH357 is an extremely unique vehicle which, despite being classified as a Scout, is actually designed for manual loading of cargo - in particular the Portable Cabins in the Residential Zones of Yukon region and beyond.

Its telefork can be also used for loading of other types of cargo, although that is of dubious practicality.

Note that the telefork can be completely removed in the Garage; this turns the TH357 into a surprisingly capable scout - it has a strong and fuel efficient engine/gearbox, very good unique mudtires, is still elligible for an Autonomous Scout winch and is exceptionally stable thanks to its large weight(for a scout) as well as low center of gravity. The downsides are slow speed, inabilitiy to hitch any trailers and no snorkel add-on.

List of cargoes designed for the forks[]

Handler Fork:

  • Bricks
  • Cement
  • Consumables
  • Fuel
  • Oil Barrels
  • Vehicle Spare Parts
  • Packaged Sand (DLC)
  • Cellulose (DLC)
  • Solar panels (DLC)
  • Gold (DLC)

Wide Handler Fork:

Overall the TH357 should be brought to where it's needed by trailer and left there until the job is done. Good fuel efficiency ensures it should be able to get what it needs to get done on one tank.

Pros[]

  • Very good fuel economy due to its efficient engine.
  • Very useful for manual loading if a crane is not available.
  • Can handle deep mud with some effort if needed.
  • New adjustments to the controls make the vehicle far more user friendly.

Cons[]

  • Extremely low top speed.
  • Very poor handling makes driving it off-road very difficult.
  • No snorkel available, in fact, due to small size, even the shallowest waters can damage vehicle
  • Not reliable for loading cargo since it can fall of easily, slower controls than crane
  • No trailer to buy and attach

Locations[]

  • One can be found in the Flooded Foothills in the southeast corner of the map at the Cabin construction site.
  • Another can be found in Big Salmon Peak just north of the garage at another Cabin construction site.
  • Another can be found in The Albany River southwest of southeastern Resuppy Zone.

Trivia[]

  • The full name of the vehicle is Caterpillar TH357D AG.
  • When starting the TH357s engine it makes a very unique beeping noise.
  • The TH357 and the Caterpillar 770G are the only 2 vehicles in the game that lack any kind of customization options. Both lack even tire or rim options.
  • The TH357 is the 4th scout to lack the ability to tow trailers. It shares this trait with the KHAN 39 Marshall, Chevrolet Apache, and TUZ 420 "Tatarin".
  • Originally the Caterpillar TH357 had a working rear view camera with a monitor seen inside the cabin when the engine was on, it was flawed and did not work on Summer regions, the feature was removed in Season 7 update.
    • This makes the TH357 a first vehicle to have unique functionality inside the cabin for the first person view, second is Aramatsu Forester with its rotating cabin to make crane usability easier.
