The Caterpillar 770G is a licensed truck in SnowRunner introduced in the Explore & Expand DLC.

One of the more recent models in CAT's line of off-highway trucks, 770G combines many of its predecessors' better qualities. Built on an impressively sturdy chassis and well-equipped for traversing rough terrain with its updated traction control system, this truck is capable of getting the job done even in poor environmental conditions, and combined with its updated cab design and improved noise reduction makes for a great operating experience.

Ico unlockingUnlocking[]

Caterpillar 770G is found on the Flooded Foothills map in Yukon on the course of Dump Truck for Dump Truck task. The mission is available immediately after visiting the Flooded Foothills, player has to deliver the Disassembled Caterpillar 770G trailer to the Site Near The Garage and then fuel the 770G. Caterpillar 770G is granted the player as a part of the reward and player is able to purchase more of this vehicle in the truck store afterwards.

Description[]

The CAT 770G is a titan of a vehicle, sporting 74'' mud tires and a 530L fuel tank with a 2x4 configuration the 770G is one of the largest vehicles to date in SnowRunner, rivaled only by juggernauts like the P16 and KOLOB 74760.

The 770G is a slow yet capable vehicle. It can reach relatively impressive speeds on dirt and asphalt despite its large size but struggles to maintain a similar pace in mud due to its lack of AWD and large tires. However while in mud when low gears are used it can maintain a consistent yet slow pace.

The 770G's lack of AWD can cause issues in situations where the rear tires can not gain traction or are elevated off the ground due to obstructions like rocks. The 770G currently is extremely limited in add-ons, as its only meaningful attachment is a fuel carrier.

Due to its heavy weight and fuel hungry engine selection, the 770G is somewhat poor on fuel consumption. However, it has a massive fuel tank of 530L. This gives the 770G impressive range which is further strengthened if its fuel carrier add-on is equipped.

Pros[]

  • Tire sizes are only second to Kirovets K-7M, and they greatly improve its traction on many surfaces.
  • Very high fuel capacity, especially with its integrated fuel carrier.

Cons[]

  • No AWD and gets stuck easily without it.
  • Very low top speed.
  • Poor handling.
  • Extremely limited selection of frame add-ons.
